Description released of vehicle that struck, killed 52-year-old man

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—Detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department have released an updated description of the suspect’s vehicle involved in last Saturday’s deadly hit-and-run.

Following a forensic exam of vehicle parts collected at the scene of the crash, detectives believe the vehicle that fatally struck 52-year-old Earmon “Bud” Hubbard III was a 1997 to 2001 dark hunter green Mercury Mountaineer with a tan trim.

Police said Hubbard was riding his bicycle in the 2600 block of Emerson Avenue when he was struck from behind.  He was transported in critical condition to Wishard Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
