INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—A giant north side pothole, initially believed to be a sinkhole, was successfully repaired Monday.
Officials with the Department of Public Works said the cost to repair the hole along River Road was approximately $50,000.
The hole, located near 96th Street and Keystone Avenue on the city’s north side, was about 2 feet wide and 5 feet deep. Officials said erosion and recent rainfall caused the street to cave.
River Road is now open to traffic.
