The state Supreme Court will look into the case of a former Central Indiana principal.

Muncie Central High School Principal Chris Smith was fired after he didn’t immediately report the rape of a student to police.

He was eventually convicted of failing to report child abuse but that decision was overturned in January.

Indiana’s attorney general had pushed for the court to take up the case and possibly reinstate the prior conviction.
