Police: Two arrested after 65 pounds of marijuana found in trunk

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—Two people from Texas were arrested in Indianapolis Monday after police found more than 65 pounds of alleged marijuana in their vehicle during a traffic stop.

Rosa Linda Villalon, 58, and Raul Vargas, 31, were arrested on charges of dealing in marijuana, a Class C felony, and possession of marijuana, a Class D felony.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. Monday, Indiana State Police troopers stopped a 1998 Ford Expedition on Interstate 70 for a traffic violation.  Police said during a search of the vehicle, troopers located 66.5 pounds of marijuana concealed in the rear of the SUV.

Villalon and Vargas were transported to the Marion County Arrestee Processing Center.
