INDIANAPOLIS – If season ticket sales are any indication, enthusiasm is high for the Indianapolis Colts.

The team said there are about 1,000 season tickets remaining for the 2013-2014 season. About a month ago, there were about 5,500 tickets left. The team said in March that season ticket renewals had returned to Peyton Manning era levels.

Tickets haven’t gone on sale to the public just yet–the Colts were going through their waiting list first, which has about 8,000 people on it. Many of the unsold tickets are in the upper level of Lucas Oil Stadium.

The remaining season tickets go on sale to the public Thursday at 10 a.m. The team said fans can take a virtual tour of Lucas Oil Stadium to see their vantage point and purchase tickets at the Colts’ website. Anyone interested in season tickets can call (317) 299-4946 during regular business hours.

The Colts have had 87 straight sellouts.

Their preseason opener is Aug. 11 at home against the Buffalo Bills. They host the Oakland Raiders on Sept. 8 in their regular season opener.
