Two people injured in Wabash County crash

Indiana State Police are investigating a crash that injured two people in Wabash County, Saturday afternoon.

The accident happened on State Road 15 at Wabash County Road 1050 South just before 1 p.m.

Tyrus Faust of Lafontaine was driving his pickup westbound on Wabash County Road 1050 South when he allegedly failed to stop for a stop sign and pulled into the path of a southbound SUV.

The SUV, driven by Dustin Hurst, also of Lafontaine, struck the truck on the passenger side.

The crash impacted, Faust who was not wearing his seatbelt and he was partially ejected from the passenger side window.

Faust was flown to Ft. Wayne’s Parkview Hospital with a life threatening head injury.

A passenger of the SUV was transported by ambulance to Marion General Hospital with cuts and bruises.

Police are still investigating the crash, but believe neither alcohol nor drugs were a factor in the crash.
