Today, there will only the slightest chance for rain today across the state as we see high pressure building in the state. It will be humid and warm with highs in the 80s. The last time we hit 80 degrees here in the city was the 15th of this month when we hit 85 degrees. We will likely see two of the next three days warmer than this mark.
Today and Monday:
Temperatures surge as warm air surges in from the southwest. A ridge of high pressure with sinking air will also help to warm us up. Should be a gorgeous afternoon today
with warm temps and only the slimmest of slim chances for rain. Monday highs will be the warmest of the year.
Tuesday and Wednesday:
Warmest day of the year likely for Tuesday with highs near 90! Storms roll in behind the heat with large hail and destructive straight line winds possible late Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning. Cooler behind front on Wednesday with highs near 80 degrees and cooler weather setting up for the afternoon. Most of Wednesday will be spent with temperatures in the mid-70s.
Thursday to Saturday
You can expect seasonal heat with a small chance for light rain on Thursday. Sunshine returns to the area on Friday with a high of only 70 degrees. We will be slightly warmer with clear skies on Saturday. It will be pleasant and seasonal.
