A woman smashes her vehicle into a parked car, sending it crashing into a town home on the southeast side early Sunday morning.

It happened at the Emerton Place Townhomes around 3 a.m.

Neighbors heard the screeching and rushed outside to find the woman exiting the vehicle.

One witness said she told several different stories about how it happened, even at one point saying the parked car she’d hit was actually hers.

But Jeremy Carter, who ran outside when he heard the noise, says he knows the owner of the car and he also knows the driver who crashed into it was going way too fast.

Carter says the treadmarks in the parking lot began 30 to 40-feet from where the parked car was sitting.

“She’d have to be going at extreme speeds to be able to hit her breaks, then hit her car and still make the car go through.”

The brick wall was bashed in, but no one inside the home was injured.

The driver was taken to the hospital. There is no word on her condition.
