Indy Parks presents free weekend concerts

INDIANAPOLIS — Indy Parks launched their Summer Concert Series this weekend.

The Listen Local Series began in Broad Ripple Park Friday with Margot & The Nuclear So and So’s, Gentleman Caller, and Everything.

The three groups played in front of a large crowd according to Indy Parks spokesperson Maureen Faul. The concert was free for park guests with a donation for the Indianapolis Parks Foundation collected at the door.

Two more concerts are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday, The Half Step Sisters play a free, all-ages show at Ellenberger Park, 5301 East. St. Clair Street. The show begins at 6 p.m.

On Sunday, Clifford Ratliff and The Indy Jazz Company will play a free, all-ages show at Watkins Park, 2360 Martin Luther King, Jr. Street. That show begins at 5 p.m.
