SPEEDWAY, IND. — Race fans got a chance to be up close and personal with Indianapolis 500 drivers before they get down to business Sunday.

Hundreds of fans rushed through the gates at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Saturday morning as part of Legends Day.

All 33 drivers took part in an autograph session in the morning, others held talks and events with fans throughout the day.

For some fans, it was a time to be inspired by drivers young and old.

This year, Legends Day honored veteran driver Parnelli Jones who won the race in 1963.
