The Indiana Pacers started off strong in Miami on Thursday night but they just couldn’t match the Heat’s tempo in the third quarter. After taking a 44-40 halftime lead the Blue and Gold went stagnant to start the second half scoring just 13 points compared to the Heat’s 30 in the third quarter. That created all the separation the defending NBA champs needed, Miami won game five 90-79 to take a 3-2 series lead in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Game 6 is in Indianapolis on Saturday night and it has now become a must win situation for the Pacers.
