Regardless of who wins the Eastern Conference Finals, the Indiana Pacers have already won a huge victory in the eyes of many fans.

The success of the team over the last couple of years, and especially this year, has resulted in a resurgence of the team and now, the fans are returning to watch the blue and gold.

Ticket sales were up 7 percent from last year and it looks like they will be even better next season.

The pacers hosted a Pizza in the Plaza party on Monday, getting fans pumped up for the final game against the Heat.

Many are proud of the team’s terrific season.

“Obviously, the team is really relevant right now from a sales and marketing standpoint and that’s all you can ask for and now, it’s up to us to make sure we do a good job of making it a great fan experience and providing people opportunities to come to games,” said Todd Taylor with the Pacers.

“Oh, this is huge. I know we’ve been rebuilding the Pacers for a few years now they’re doing really well this year. I think it’s getting a lot of fan support,” said fan Mitch Dean.

It’s been 15 years since the Pacers played in the NBA Finals.

The ABA Pacers won three League Championships.  The last of which was in 1973.
