Investigators probe fatal Greensburg fire

GREENSBURG, IND. — Fire investigators from the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office are in Greensburg following a fatal fire.

According to Greensburg Fire Chief Scott Chasteen, firefighters responded to the fire in the 600 block of North Lincoln Street around midnight Monday.

Multiple agencies that responded to the scene include local agencies from Decatur County, including police, fire, sheriff and coroner, the State Fire Marshal’s Office and State Police.

Police have not yet released the name of the deceased.
