Tuition at Ivy Tech Community College could soon go up.

The college held a public hearing Monday about a proposed $5 per credit hour hike.

The school is looking for ways to reduce a $68 million deficit.

The shortfall also threatens nearly one-fourth of the state’s campuses.

Ivy Tech is thinking about closing them.
