Bedford first-grade teacher faces heroin charges

BEDFORD – A traffic stop led to the arrest of a first-grade teacher on heroin and drug-related charges.

According to the Herald-Times, Bedford police arrested Lindsay Endris Tuesday evening during a traffic stop between 37th and 39th streets. Endris teaches first grade at Parkview Primary School.

The 26-year-old teacher faces a series of charges, including possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to deal, possession of methamphetamine, two counts of possessing a Schedule IV controlled substance and trafficking with an inmate.

Additional details of the arrest were unavailable. Administrators with North Lawrence Community Schools have been notified.

Endris was booked into the Lawrence County Security Center.
