Pedestrian struck on I-65 near Whiteland

JOHNSON COUNTY, IND. — Emergency crews blocked I-65 in Johnson County following an accident where a pedestrian was struck and killed.

It happened north of the Tracy Road/County Road 600 North overpass, just north of the Whiteland Road exit just before midnight.

Crews blocked the roadway for about 2.5 hours while the crash scene was cleared.

Details surrounding the crash, including the name of the person killed, have not been released.
