Nine people, including four children, hurt in crash

INDIANAPOLIS – Nine people, including four children, were hurt after a minivan and SUV collided on the north side Tuesday afternoon.

It happened near 39th Street and North Keystone Avenue. According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, a Honda Odyssey minivan and a Ford Expedition SUV collided in the intersection. The impact put the SUV on its side.

Three people inside the minivan were taken to Wishard Hospital. There were six people in the Expedition. The driver and two children were taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital. Another adult and two children were taken to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health.

None of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.

The crash remains under investigation.
