Victim of deadly south side shooting identified

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan police identified a man killed in a shooting on the south side late Monday night.

Police said Charles Walls, 58, was found dead in the 1000 block of Henslow Lane in the Pleasant Springs apartment complex. Police were called there around 11:45 p.m. for a welfare check.

Police said Walls suffered at least one fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
