INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.— A local man was arrested after police said he went streaking in Broad Ripple Wednesday night.

Kyle Deetz, 23, was arrested on a public indecency charge.

Just before 9 p.m., officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to the 1100 block of Broad Ripple Avenue after it was reported a nude man was running down the street. Authorities were able to detain Deetz a short time later.

When asked why he was naked, Deetz replied he was hot and had consumed “shrooms,” the street name for a hallucinogenic drug in mushroom form. According to the police report, Deetz told the officers he had taken the drugs before but ingested a larger quantity this time around.

Medics were called to the scene, after Deetz stated he was having difficulty breathing. He was transported to Wishard Hospital, before being transported to jail.
