About 3K without power as storms pummel metro area

About 3,000 IPL and Duke Energy customers are without power.

Storms moving into the area knocked down several power lines near the 5000 block of Mann Road. About 100 customers were affected in Johnson County.

Meanwhile,  about 1,000 customers are without power in the Meridian Hills neighborhood and in portions of Washington Township.

Several outages have also been reported in Decatur Township.
