St. Vincent Health is cutting its labor costs by 5 percent. It’s a move that will put 865 people out of work.

The health care system says the decision will affect all of its 22 hospitals across the state.

Sources say the cuts will affect administrative positions with many of those jobs being on the city’s north side.

The reductions are meant to save money as Obamacare and budget cuts decrease hospital reimbursement rates.

Currently, St. Vincent employs 17,000 Hoosiers.
