INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.– The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is searching for suspects in an early morning home invasion on the city’s far east side.

Officers said two men entered an apartment in the 4300 block of Aristocrat Way around midnight.

According to the police report, the suspects took nearly $2,200 worth of items, mostly electronics, including two flat screen televisions, two cell phones and an Xbox 360.

One of the suspects fired a shot in the apartment, but no one was hurt, said police. A short time later, Lawrence officers saw the stolen vehicle and attempted a traffic stop.

The suspects crashed the car into a chain link fence and fled on foot into a nearby apartment complex. Officers set up a perimeter and called for K9s to assist in the search, but the suspects were not apprehended.
