Indiana’s Republican Party has a new chairman tonight.

Governor Mike Pence has named Tim Berry to the top spot.

Berry currently serves as the state auditor. It’s a position he’s held since 2007.

Pence calls him a cheerful, well-known leader who will help grow the party with GOP goals in mind.

Indiana Senate President David Long says Berry understands the political landscape and is a rock solid choice.
