Country singer Randy Travis is in critical condition, suffering from a heart ailment.
He was rushed to a Texas hospital on Sunday after acquiring viral cardiomyopathy. That’s a weakening of the heart muscles caused by a viral infection.
The country star is famous for such hits as “Forever and Ever, Amen” and “Three Wooden Crosses.”
Travis pleaded guilty to DUI earlier this year and was hospitalized after a fight last year.
