INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.– A woman who was found deceased in a south side home late Monday night died from massive sharp force and blunt force injuries to the head, announced Marion County Coroner’s Office Wednesday.

Officers arrived to the house in the 1800 block of Singleton Road, where they found 24-year-old Shanna Elmore dead.

Her boyfriend, Cory Musick, was arrested in connection with her death and transported to the Marion County Jail on a preliminary charge of murder.

According to family members, Elmore, who is a mother of two young children, and Musick had a turbulent on again, off again relationship.

Police have not said how or when Elmore died, but her family is convinced she died either Friday night or Saturday morning.
