PLAINFIELD, Ind.— A vehicle recovered from a retention pond Friday morning matched the description of the vehicle belonging to missing Plainfield man Morgan Johnson, announced officials at a news conference.

Officials said a body was found in the vehicle, but the identity of the body has not been confirmed at this time.

Johnson, 28, was reported missing in May 2011. A Silver Alert was issued for Johnson after he was last seen leaving a Plainfield motel without his seizure medication, said authorities.

The missing man’s family filed a complaint with the Indiana Civil Rights Commission and several other agencies, claiming the Plainfield Police Department could have done more to find their loved one.
