Shelbyville Police investigating assault

The Shelbyville Police Department is searching for a suspect who assaulted a woman early Sunday morning.

The assault happened in the 200 block of west Hendricks Street.

The suspect is described as an white male in his mid to late 20s with dark hair, who at the time was wearing a dark grey or blue shirt with sleeves cut off and dark blue work pants. The victim describes the man as being very ‘unclean.’

Police are still investigating the case.
