Indianapolis International Airport will soon offer faster security screening.

For the first time, the TSA will let travelers apply directly for expedited airport screening to avoid lanes requiring shoe removal and laptop checks.

Indianapolis and Dulles near Washington, D.C., will be the first two airports to take applications.

You can apply online or at the airport to be part of the pre-check program. You’ll need to provide certain personal information and pay a membership fee.
