Another cooler day today with us tracking some weekend rain

A cool front on Saturday morning means cooler weather for the weekend.

Plenty of sun again today for the area as high pressure is the dominate weather feature across the Midwest.  The Canadian high will weaken through today and by tomorrow we will see a return of clouds and slightly warmer weather.  Yesterday’s high hit 77 degrees and we are forecasting a high in the 70s again once again today.  I think we briefly return to the 80s for a day on Friday before cooling down once again for the weekend.

Friday’s high is forecast to hit 83 degrees.  A cold front that should arrive either late Friday or early Saturday morning will bring with it a chance for morning rain and perhaps a storm.  At this point the heaviest of the rain should hit overnight with little impact on NASCAR activities this weekend.  The front that will cause the rain will, however, bring more comfortable weather our way.  Saturday and Sunday highs while tough to forecast will be in the mid to upper 70s.  I am going 75 both days but that may be a tad bit low.  Either way the weather should be fantastic for those lucky enough to get to see the race live.

Looking at your extended forecast, A Monday morning warm front will bring with it a return of 80s for next work week.  I added a chance for rain in on Monday with the frontal passage with models showing another warm front arriving late on Wednesday.  I expect to see scattered rain on Tuesday ahead of this front with the potential for rain and storms on Wednesday.  Enjoy your week!
