The old fountain at Pan Am Plaza is now gone.

According to our partners at the Indianapolis Business Journal, Kite Realty has ripped out the fountain and crumbling bricks.

Crews also added new stone pavers until Kite finishes its redevelopment plans.

For now, mementos from the 1987 Pan American Games will be displayed.

Eventually, the developer hopes to build a mixed-use project that could include a hotel, restaurant and several stores.
