INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.– One of two Indiana teens critically injured while parasailing in Florida earlier this month was discharged from a local rehabilitation facility Thursday.

Alexis Fairchild, 17, was released from the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana (RHI) after being there for nearly two weeks. She will continue her rehab as an outpatient.

Fairchild and her friend Sidney Good, 17, suffered head trauma and multiple lacerations after the cable connecting them to their harness snapped, causing them to crash into a nearby building before falling onto parked vehicles. Fairchild sustained severe back injuries and Good suffered neck trauma.

Earlier this week, Good was moved out of intensive care and continues to recover.
