A Greene County mother is expected to face multiple charges after she crashed trying to elude officers, police said Monday.

An Indiana trooper said he saw a truck heading east on State Road 58 south of Bloomfield. He clocked the car going at 80 mph in a 55 mph zone.

When the trooper attempted to pull the driver over, the driver, later identified as Jessica Ann Purtlebaugh, sped off.

Purtlebaugh then crashed in a private garden.

Her three children suffered several injuries including severe lacerations and lost teeth. Police said the children were sharing two seatbelts because there wasn’t enough room for car seats.

Purtlebaugh told the trooper she was going to flee and then lost control of the truck at County Road 500 East.

Charges are pending.
