Officials are continuing to investigate a serious plane crash in Columbus, Ind.

Investigators say they have narrowed their findings about what caused a plane to crash into a home to a mechanical issue.

Crews have finished clearing the debris from the scene. All debris will be taken to a secure location for further analysis.

Officials said the investigation could still take anywhere from one to two months to finish up.

They’ve given control of the home back to its owners.
