A 14-year-old is facing felony charges after police say he locked his grandparents inside their home because they disciplined him.

Officers were called to the 1000 block of Denison Street on the city’s west side Sunday.

The couple told them their grandson had changed both the front and back doors to where they could not unlock the doors.

When confronted, the teen admitted to being frustrated over a recent punishment. He reportedly told police “I’m gonna lock them in since they lock me in.”

The teen is now facing criminal confinement and criminal mischief charges. He’s being held in at the Marion County Juvenile Center.
