Lottery taps 20 semi-finalists for Hometown Host talent search

INDIANAPOLIS – The Hoosier Lottery has selected 20 semi-finalists for its statewide search to find on-air talent for its live drawings on Fox 59.

It’s part of the lottery’s “Hometown Host” contest, which asked Hoosiers to submit auditions. Voting for the contest ends on Aug. 9. The top five finalists will then audition live in front of an audience at the Indiana State Fair. A panel of local celebrity judges will also be on hand for the live auditions, which are set for Friday, Aug. 16.

The winner will then step into the role when Daily 3 and Daily 4 live ball drawings air statewide. To vote, go to the Hoosier Lottery’s website. You can read the rules for the contest at

Powerball drawings air Wednesday and Saturday nights at 10:59 p.m.; Mega Millions drawings air Tuesday and Friday nights at 11 p.m. in Central Indiana on Fox 59. Drawings will begin airing throughout the state in the next few weeks.
