FARMERSBURG, Ind. – A Sullivan County School is missing 412 iPads as of Wednesday morning.

North Central High School teachers discovered that thieves took $200,000 worth of tablets through a technology classroom window.

This loss is especially problematic after the school district’s initiative last year to switch from high school textbooks to tablet computers. Now, with less than one week before the start of school, North Central has only a few textbooks that students will have to share for the time being.

Police are in contact with the manufacturer in hopes that they’ll be able to find the devices through an internal tracking system.
