INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.— Funeral services will be held on Saturday for a man fatally attacked outside an Indianapolis night club on July 22

The service for Felix “Davy” Achoch, 21, will be at 3 p.m. at the Stuart Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will also be held there from 2 to 3 p.m.

A homicide investigation was launched after Achoch was killed in an altercation outside Club Vision. Authorities said Achoch was attacked by several unidentified suspects. An autopsy revealed he died due to complications of traumatic injuries to the head.

Achoch was a student from Kenya, attending Ivy Tech. He was an accomplished soccer defenseman and had made the first cut for the Indy Eleven soccer team. He was expected to have his final tryout.

“Indy Eleven is saddened to hear news of Felix’s passing,” said Indy Eleven president/general manager Peter Wilt on Friday. “The loss of any young person is hard to bare. Felix was a talented and promising member of the local soccer community, which will miss him. Indy Eleven expresses its sincere condolences to his family and friends.”

A fundraiser has been created to assist with Achoch’s funeral expenses.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have video or observed this incident to call the IMPD Homicide Unit at 317.327.3375 or Crime Stoppers of Indiana at 317.262.TIPS (8477). Callers may also text “INDYCS” plus tip information to 274627 (CRIMES).
