As of Friday morning, attendance was up 12 percent compared to last year.

The fair also set daily attendance records for the first Sunday and Tuesday.

In the first five days of the fair, more than 285,000 people walked through the gates.

Of course, the fun continues early Saturday morning with the annual giant hot air balloon launch.

The country music showdown will be on the March free stage at 3 p.m.

It’s also Hoosier lottery day! All visitors 18 and over will get a free Hoosier Lottery ticket.
