Two taken to hospital after tanker truck flips on near north side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—Two people were transported to the hospital after a tanker truck flipped on the near north side. 

Crews with the Indianapolis Fire Department responded to the accident near 38th Street and Central Avenue.

Authorities said the driver of the environmental truck swerved to miss hitting a car on Central Ave., causing the truck to flip. Two people in the truck were transported to area hospitals. Their conditions are unknown at this time.

Avoid the area as crews work to clean the wreckage.
