Ahmad Bradshaw appeared very confident when talking with reporters July 30th, that he would be back on the football field sooner rather than later.

“It’s a process for me, I’m just taking it slow, just to be ready when I touch that field in a couple of weeks,” said Bradshaw after watching the teams walkthrough that morning.

As of Monday night, Bradshaw is in fact on the teams active roster, but his good health might not be the reason.  Pro Football Talk reports the Colts were forced to activate Bradshaw due to a rules violation in which the veteran running back actually “practiced” while on the physically unable to perform list.

Indianapolis Star reporter  Mike Chappell tweeted August 4th, that Bradshaw took hand-offs during a walkthrough.

Bradshaw might actually be ready to practice Tuesday, as he predicted back on July 30th, or he could only be on the roster because the NFL ruled the team in violation of league policy. Regardless, Coach Chuck Pagano will likely have to explain more than just the teams’ poor performance in a 44-20 loss to Buffalo when he meets with reporters Tuesday at Anderson University.
