Two parents accused of allowing their children to starve have been sentenced to seven years in prison.

Amy Doty and her husband, Jason, were arrested in June of last year after their daughters were found suffering from severe malnourishment.

Both pleaded guilty to neglect. They admitted they would go without feeding their two girls for two to four days at a time.

Both said they noticed the kids losing weight but didn’t take them to a doctor.

The girls are now two and five years old.
