IU freshman seriously injured after fall

BLOOMINGTON – A 19-year-old Indiana University freshman from Zionsville was hurt after falling down a flight of stairs early Friday morning.

It happened between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. at the house where she lives. According to IU police, friends monitored the girl throughout the night and called police around 7:50 a.m.

IU Police Chief Laury Flint said authorities were not immediately notified about the girl’s fall. Flint said police were told that the girl was unresponsive.
