Search continues for man accused of killing woman found in blanket

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has released the identity of the woman whose body was found wrapped in a blanket.

The victim was identified as 26-year-old Kelly Moss, who was allegedly shot to death by 31-year-old David Lawrence.

Police have been searching for Lawrence since Friday in connection with the murder. According to a police report, a woman reported she loaned her vehicle to Lawrence. The woman said when Lawrence returned, he told her that he fatally shot Moss while she was sitting in the front seat.

Officers were able to locate the car, but Moss’ body was not inside. Moss’ body was later located in a remote area of Morgan County, wrapped in a blanket, according to the police report.
