Purdue sends out campus alert after overnight knife assault

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue University sent out a text message alert early Friday morning after a man was assaulted.

The assault occurred around 3:40am. The man was assaulted near the Class of 1950 building by two males who were possibly armed with a knife.

No details are being released about the victim.

The suspects in the attack are two white males, one wearing a blue T-shirt and shorts and the other wearing a black T-shirt and shorts.

The two men fled following the attack.
