Coolest weather in over two weeks for today

This is an archived article and the information in the article may be outdated. Please look at the time stamp on the story to see when it was last updated.

Cooler weather arrives today with most of the area remaining in the 70s for highs.  Clear skies and lower humidity levels will make the afternoon feel pleasant and the morning hours both today and tomorrow morning possibly a bit cool for some.  Over the weekend we only got about three tenths of an inch of rain.  It could be another week before we see another chance for rain.

Overall, today could be the coolest weather we have seen in over two weeks.  We will have a chance to fall into the 50s for morning lows both this morning and Wednesday morning.  The last time we did that was August 15th when we fell to 52°.  The last time we failed to reach at least 80 degrees was on the 16th of August when we topped out with a high of 77°.

At this point it looks like today will likely be the only day this week spent in the 70s with us hitting the low 80s for highs on Wednesday.  Heat begins to build back in with temperatures above the average high of 82 degrees heading into your weekend.  Have a great day!
