Man wanted in theft of Riley Hospital donation bucket

SPEEDWAY, Ind.—The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is requesting the public’s help in locating a man they said stole a donation bucket for a children’s hospital from a gas station.

Police said the man exited a white-four door, possibly a Ford Focus, that was parked at a gas pump before entering the store. Surveillance video captured the suspect approaching the counter and taking the Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health donation jar, before running back to the car.

The man was described to be about 5-feet-7-inches tall and was wearing a black hat, yellow shirt, blue jean pants and white shoes.
