CINCINNATI, Ohio– The 12-year old Ohio boy struck by lightning at a summer camp in Zionsville, Ind. in June is now in rehabilitation.

Ethan Kadish was critically injured after an isolated lightning bolt struck the northeast field of the Goldman Union Camp Institute where Kadish and other campers were playing Ultimate Frisbee.

Doctors say he went into cardiac arrest and suffered a brain injury due to decreased blood flow. He was flown to an Indiana hospital and spent days in a medically-induced coma.

Although still in critical condition, Kadish was eventually flown to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in order to be closer to his family.

Today, Kadish’s doctors said he can’t move, or talk, but he is responding well to therapy and has a long road to recovery ahead.
