Man shot in chest during near northwest side home invasion

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – IMPD responded to a 51-year-old man shot in the chest during a home invasion early Tuesday morning.

This shooting occurred around 12:30 a.m. on the city’s near northwest side, near N Harding and W 35th St.

Two black male teenagers entered the man’s home and shot him in the upper right chest.

The victim was transported to Wishard Hospital in serious condition.

The two suspects are still at large.

One of the suspects is described as thin and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and the other suspect is described as fat and wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt. Both of the suspects are reportedly in their late teens.
