Pedestrian critically injured in hit-run crash on near north side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.— A pedestrian was critically injured following a hit-and-run crash on the city’s near north side Tuesday afternoon.

The accident happened near 18th and Sheldon streets shortly after 1 p.m. When officers arrived on the scene, they found an unresponsive black male lying in the street.

The man was transported to Wishard Hospital and his condition was described to be “extremely critical.”

Witnesses were able to provide details of the vehicle that fled the scene. Detectives learned the 1998 green Chevrolet Malibu with Indiana license plate OFP531 was registered to Felicia Moss.
