CARMEL – Two employees say a man brandished a butcher knife while threatening them during the robbery of a fast-food restaurant.

Around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to the Arby’s at 1224 S. Rangeline Rd. in response to a robbery. One employee told officers she was outside the business when a man with a blue bandana over his face grabbed her and forced her back inside. He was armed with a butcher knife, the woman said.

The man took money from the restaurant’s safe and ran off. Carmel police later found a stolen silver 2010 Honda Civic located near the crime scene, and believe the car was involved with the robbery. Investigators found evidence from the crime inside the stolen vehicle.

Anyone with information should contact the Carmel Police Department Investigations Division at (317) 571-2511 or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana (317) 262-8477 (TIPS).
